The John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove's 8th Annual Juried Art Show is coming up soon! Sponsored by the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove, the Valley Forge Audubon Society, and Lower Providence Township, the event features over 100 works of the best original fine art created by regional artists inspired by the theme "Drawn From Nature." The theme encompasses artists' depictions of birds, wildlife, nature, landscapes, the environment, and man's presence and interaction with these aspects of the world.
Art works submitted and shown in the art show come in many formats, including photographs, paintings, prints, pastels, drawings, mixed media, sculpture and other three-dimensional works. The majority of the art works exhibited are for sale and prices are very affordable. A portion of the proceeds from art sold during the show goes to support the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove’s public activities.
Artists interested in entering the show can pick up a copy of the prospectus at the Center or download it from the website here or at pa.audubon.org.
Admission to the art show and to the Mill Grove historic house museum is free during the event. Both are open during the site's regular hours of Tues.-Sat., 10-4, Sun., 1-4, and closed Mondays & major holidays. For information, call the Center at 610-666-5593 x101.
